Matrix Writing Idea began in August 2010 in a small workshop on Balajinagar Kupwad Road in Sangli. The founders — T. M. Patil and M. S. Patil — came from a sugar plant and heat-treatment furnace background, where precision metalwork and finish quality were the everyday standard. They brought the same discipline to a different product: boards for schools and colleges.
Fifteen years later we still manufacture every board in Sangli. The aluminium frames are cut and assembled in-house. The corner caps are moulded from a die we designed ourselves — and offered in silver and grey. The writing surface is fitted, the back is secured, and every board leaves on a truck that often comes back to the same school five years later for the next order.
Matrix is the grid that holds every lesson, every notice, every idea. That is the name we chose, and that is the work we do.
